Protective plastic film between rear door and wheelarch

When I were inspected my new I30 N FL I saw a small protective plastic film between lower part of the rear door and wheel arch. The demo care did not have it so I asked them to remove it. Should I have kept it 😟. See picture from another car.
I have looked on cars on this forum and I can see that some have keept it.

Actually they are strategically positioned from an engineering stand point and you might regret removing them in the long run. They‘re positioned from the factory to provide some protection from stones and debris from the tire and wheel well.

It‘s your car and you can do what you chose but consider replacing them.🙂👍🇺🇸

Feedback in this matter, I was lucky that the responsible person were back on the job after sick leave thursday morning so he had just read the E-mail and had not done anything to my car.
