Thanks for the input i_twenty_N I tuck my car to my local dealer and they topped up my coolant to the max mark.when the engine was near it's running temp.From what your saying you recommend taking some out??

This time i do have an oil question.
How long does you recommend keeping unused engine oil does it have a shelf life??
An unopened, factory-sealed bottle of motor oil generally has a shelf life of up to 5 years under proper storage conditions.
Storage Conditions Matter Most
- Ideal Temperature: Keep between 0°C and 29°C (32°F to 85°F).
- Avoid Extreme Heat: High heat accelerates oxidation and additive breakdown.
- Avoid Freezing & Thawing Cycles: Extreme cold causes additive packages (like detergent dispersion agents) to separate from the base oil.
- Keep Dry: High moisture or humidity can lead to condensation inside the plastic container over time.
I have oil in the shed that's 10 years old and still looks as new as the day it was bought. My tractor is almost 11 years old and still has the same engine oil from it's one and only change in the first year because it's only got 98 operating hours, The oil still looks good on the dipstick even on a diesel. Agricultural machinery and aircraft are serviced by operating hours, not time as cars are as an addition to distance[operating hours]. When a car of mine reaches the end of it's warranty it's only serviced by kms because time rarely matters except for items like brake fluid which is hygroscopic and can become contaminated over time.
So it might have a shelf life on the container but if it was 10 years old and still looked good I would use it.
Hello everyone in my opinion if you use the stop start and only drive short distances 0w20 is the best but if your doing track days and pushing it hard and always turn off the stop start then 5w30 is the best for you as at high temperatures it offers more protection but if you stop start it takes longer to build up oil pressure so for me daily driving and short distances I use 0w20 and if I do a track day I’d drop the oil and go thicker for the high temperature protection.
The factor that matters is it warm blended or cold blended as cold blending can drop the additives package so you’d need to shake it to re blend it again as if you pour a little bit it won’t be the correct viscosity or the detergents and other parts of the additive package will have separated out .
