After heating up oil will always be less viscous and that’s the whole point. You let engine warm up before driving hard because oil is too thick.

I don’t see absolutely no reason for going with 5W. Also most of us are driving on 0W30, including track days, and nothing is happening

I was wondering what the part number of the stock oil filter from hyundai is. I can't find any information on the internet. Maybe someone here has alredy made an oil change.
 
I have an invoice for the oil filter which states part number Y2630035504.
This was for a May 2019 i30N Performance.
Apparently you can tell a genuine one by looking into the filter and you'll see the Hyundai H.
 
I don't really know if this filter fits the i20N. So thanks for your efford, but i still don't have the definitive part-no. of the filter i need.
 
Okay, so my dealer refused to give me the parts no. The original filter though costs 31,90€ which is pretty much for an oil filter. At least here in Germany. Don't know about pricing in other countries, so yeah, my dealership sucks... I will buy one, but i would rather use a MANN filter.
 
26300 35505 for most of the Hyundai gasoline engines, including G4FP engine for i20 N.
It costs 3080 KRW, a little bit less than 3 USD, a bit more than 2 EUR in Korea. 31,90 EUR? That is a ripoff :(
 
the bigger concern is oil type for extended track use, as the viscosity basically halves when the engine is hottest. So with 0w20 its really 0w10. that could be a problem, but I guess the engineers know what they are doing.

Anyone managed to change the oil on their I20n yet I’m curious to see if it’s in an awkward spot and does anyone know if the jack points are easy to get to and what their location is ?
 
So, with the obvious risk of opening a big can of worms, what’s the proper oil to run when tracking the car frequently? 0w20 as per the manual and just change it more often or is there an argument for running higher viscosity oil during those sweet summer track-day months?

Hi everyone!

Have somebody changed the oil ourself? I am wondering if that is some specially procedure fot N-cars or it's like in normal car. I want to do it by myself but I can't find any instructions.

What he said but before doing it yourself did you check with your dealer about the oil change ?
in some places the first oil change is considered to be part of what's needed in order to keep your warranty valid and in many cases the very first only change at 1000k is completely free.
