Engine Oil Catch Cans

I've had a stage 2 can on the pcv for a good while and had my first gdi induction cleaning at 15k but with mild daily driving and stock boost levels never bothered with the stage 1 can on the ccv.

Just swapped turbo inlets this past weekend and did notice some oil on the bottom of the elbow as well as on the outer tips of the turbine. Just ordered the stage 1 can but any good way to clean this intake side of the turbo without damaging seals and/or is it a waste of time because even with the catch can a mist will still travel through here?

I'd also check if the turbo doesn't have any problems. To clean it out use an old rag or an automotive paper towel, both of those are perfect for this. The turbo doesn't need to be cleaned as centrifugal forces will take care of the oil on the turbine blades. Catch can is recommended tho.

There is also a turbo treatment made by Cerma I posted back a while ago. It works extremely well keeping the turbo clean and free from coking.:)
