Suspension and Chassis Noisy rear shock absorbers on 2018 I30N non performance

The rear has kind of quiet knocking noise (inside the car) on low speeds. I thought it was the rear shock absorbers. The Hyundai dealer checked in and confirmed. The good thing is that no other problems than the noise which you can hear only on low speeds. handling is OK. They tested the suspension. They said to me that this a typical problem with the I30N cars. They told me they have changed the shock absorbers under warranty on few cars. And one had the problem back in 3 months. The colder the weather the louder knocking. In softer settings it is more quiet.

Has anybody else similar experience?

Got also a 2018 i30N NONPER and i have also like knocking sounds from the rear of the vehicle. It sounds like the dampers are going to hit the highest point of the damper... Can´t be possible, but it sounds like that. We have a "nice" bridge where all over the road are like bumps and its so loud and often on there.
When its time for a inspection, i going to ask if they can have a look onto it, because its almost undriveable when its so loud.

Setting is not that problem, i got is also on normal mode...

Thank you! So it seems that I am not the only one suffering. Will go to another Hyundai dealer and listen their diagnosis too. If the suggest the same I will have to change the rear shock absorbers. Just noise otherwise they works exactly as they should.

I also changed my dealer because of some stuff... This one was in Luxembourg and now i´m in Germany. Its a well known dealer here in Germany. These guys are amazing!

The owner got also a i30N PFL with 400hp. He knows the car for sure :D

Yea, the knocking sound came in like some weeks ago and its making one crazy. My service is in August, so i need to stay cool with it for this time :D Dont like to drive 35km for such "small" thing.
The dampers are working fine! Its just the noise function.

Its not fitting very well in the thread but did you made the renewal guarantee?

I had this on Mazda M.P.S once, it was an oil leak on the shock absorber, replaced under warranty within 30 minutes! Worry not!

I have the exact same problem with the rear end noise. I've been waiting for the shock absorbers to come for over 2 months.

I had the rear damper changed early spring last year. It was quiet until late autumn. Now knocking again. It was -20 degrees lately. The "knocking" was very loud inside. need to change once more I assume.

On my late 2017 model, I had this noise for years until recently changing the rear suspension top mounts. £80 for both sides from Korea and easy to replace myself. Wish I'd known about it years ago!
