No DCT for Australia?

Went to Moorooka Hyundai (Qld) this morning to checkout the I30n for the first time.
First question I asked the salesman was is the DCT Automatic still scheduled for release later this year and was told 'NO'.
He said he has ask several time and each time he has been told the DCT isn't being released here in Australia.
Hyundai had planned to go head to head with VW Golf and has achieved the sales results so no need to bring in the auto.
(even thou he believed they would sell 3 times as many)

What does everyone think about this statement?

Anyone else asked the question or is this the salesman lying trying me to convince me not to wait and buy a Manual now?

I haven't seen any announcement about a dct gearbox full stop from hyundai?

A few rumours on here but nothing concrete?

There's no way it is not coming, it will boost sales significantly I reckon and they can't afford not to bring it here for that reason. When exactly is the issue. My bet is 2nd quarter of 2020 and that your suggestion the car yard guy wants a sale NOW is most likely correct .

I personally do not like to see an auto/DCT N but Hyundai is a car company and it is still all about making profits after all.
However, I don't think I would believe what the salesman said to you, there is no reason for Hyundai not to bring the auto/DCT to Australia once it is available.
