Greeting Fellow Nthusiast.
I have been informed by my local Hyundai Dealer that my Bushings were starting to rip off.
And low and behold, they are, just wanted to show you what 6 year old Bushings look like on a 2020 i30N PFL.
The Dealer I went to told me "We suggest a full Lower Control Arm replacement" and given the price, it aint cheap and I am not swimming in money at the moment.
In fact I sort of have some finance issues going on.
So the best next option was to visit a other Hyundai Workshop that really good friend of mine suggested.
They in fact do Bushing changes for Half of the price of the entire lower control arm.
Changing the Bushings (I dont remember if the Ball Joint will be replaced too) and keeping the stock Lower Control arm.
I still see that its in good condition, and as a former car mechanic its not hard to see why, apart from the color change by the bushings that signal how terrible they have been neglected.
Changing these for PU bushings wasnt a option atm as in Germany its not illegal, but many Car Mechanics dont want to do it, and I dont have the Tools/Garage to do so.
Beside those that did recommended me to change wanted to install non OEM parts/bushing/lower control arm to my i30N that I track on Nurburgring.
Keep in mind, MOBIS is making these Bushings for the i30N, the NORMAL i30 bushings ARE NOT THE SAME as the i30N's.
And to follow it up they all said "It needs to be done correctly", and to that I say, no thanks, I need the bushings replaced and not a standard bushing to be in these while I track on Nurburgring.
Still.
I will follow up with updates after they have been replaced, my friend that suggested me this Hyundai workshop swears his were done really well and no issues whatsoever on his 2018 i30N.
I trust my good friend and follow to the shops positive reviews.
Price ill list later after update.

My Subaru used to get through those bushings regularly. It's not difficult to change the main problem is getting the old one out. I used to cut the rubber out and put a hacksaw cut in the sleeve and get it out that way. Clean up the hole and then use a press to push the new bushing in. Make a note of the orientation and put the new one in the same way. It's not very difficult you just need to be methodical and it's best to have a press.
I should imagine the i30n bushing is a lot stiffer than the standard i30.

If you use the poly bushings you won't need a press.

Well after a few hours, it was done, both ones were really cooked
Ball Joints were still very good condition
The other 2 Bushing in the front were not terrible in fact were still very good and stiff.
Only the rear Control Arm bushings is what took very high beating.
They were just about to fall off when it was on the lift.

And Yes the i30N Bushings are far more stiffer as they were made by Mobis (Hyundai) specifically for the i30N and Nurburgring, compared to the i30 chassis and bushings.

When it comes to driving, these weren't changed after 6 years (mine is a 2020 i30N PFL) and to be honest.
This is now a totally different car when it comes to handling, I can feel it being sharp and responsive in turns.
Is this how it felt when it was new? its AWESOME.

Anyway, really happy I did only needed to change the 2 Rear Bushings, and all the Bolts.
