This thread will cover the N Performance Monoblock brake system.

Here is a picture of the brake calipers:
These are 4 pot piston brake calipers and are offered as an optional part in South Korea only.

Here we can see the inner part of the brake calipers showing the brake pads.
These calipers have 2 large holes on each side.
The purpose of this is when the brakes are applied while at high speeds these act as a way to channel out the brake dust.
Another part to note is the silver bracket thats mounted onto the calipers.
This is used to fit with the original Veloster N knuckles. Without this mounting bracket, it will not be possible to fit them onto the car.

While these are sold as original Hyundai part. The brake caliper themselves are manufactured by Mando.
Mando is a Korean company that specializes in making parts such as brake calipers and disc brakes.

The next pictures will show the measurements of the brake calipers.

Behind the brake calipers shows where the brake hose will connect. Similar placement to that of the standard Veloster N/i30N front brake calipers

The original brake hose from the Veloster N will fit perfectly with these calipers.

This is a continuation of the N Performance Brake calipers.

For a quick size reference, this how the brake calipers compare to a shoe size 9

Next are the brake pads. As of right now you can only purchase a new set of brake pads for these calipers from Hyundai Korea. They all come in one color blue.
Part number for the brake pads:

Last but not least. The disc brakes. They are two piece rotors.
The dimension of the rotors is 360mm and 30mm in thickness.

They're a high hat set up for the rotors as well, nice. Man, the calipers are really large for 4 piston type. Generally you only see 6 pots this big. They'll distribute the load well across the braking surface.:)đź‘Ť

How much do these cost then?
I was fortunate to get these from a Korean Veloster N owner who longer needed them. I paid $1800 for the Calipers, disc brake, and pads. All of the parts had over 4000km. I also purchased new pads so I wouldnt have to wait for months for their arrival. Shipping was hundreds more. If you buy them brand new from N performance mall it would run you more than $2200.

This will cover the installation of the N Performance brakes.

Here illustrates an "Exploded" view of the brake caliper. You can see the two black guide pins, two small cotter pins that lock the guide pins, the pads, and the mounting bracket and bolts. The only thing that was not removed were the brake pad clips that hold the pads in place.C571C76F-2105-4621-A0C7-E1543D731769.jpeg
Here we can see the brake pistons that help the Veloster N come to a complete stop. There are two pistons on each side of the caliper.4589BBC8-3167-4BA3-8EB2-FF3E75A98B4E.jpeg
I tried my best to measure the brake piston. But it appears to be approximately 38MM per piston.446528F3-07E8-4AD2-AFE9-836C4803551C.jpeg
Next picture shows a quick comparison between the N Performance disc brake (Left) and the Standard N brake disc that many people are familiar with(Right).901FBFBA-9844-47C7-8947-ABEECB5CE63D.jpegUnfortunately. Since Hyundai does not include the brake dust shield nor do they sell a brake dust shield to go with the bigger N Performance brake calipers. You have a few options, bend the brake dust shield, cut them, or remove them entirely. I decided to bend them. I may make a purchase of a set of new front brake dust in the future and cut them myself. But this will do for now.

Here's a quick picture of before.BE5BDBDE-E3B1-4F54-A5E6-0AB0F81545EC.jpeg
And after with the N Performance Monoblock brake system installed. Another thing worth mentioning is aside from making a small adjustment to the brake dust shield. Everything else bolts on perfectly. Theres no need to adjust the brake hose as the original OEM ones will work perfectly fine with these brake calipers. 05A06F07-3391-4331-BF16-921BA3D72272.jpeg
For those who are curious on how the two brake calipers sit side by side. Here you go. 9395DF73-74D7-4633-A2A4-34A1A4DECF73.jpeg

Most frequent questions I get so far are the following:

Q: Will the 19 inch Performance Package Wheels for the Veloster N clear the N Performance brake calipers?

A: According to Hyundai's website at N Performance Mall, they said that in order to clear the caliper with the wheels will require spacers. As for the 19 inch PP i30N wheels, I cannot confirm whether or not they will. However, if the spokes of the wheels are barely touching the standard N calipers by a few MM. Then I believe they will also require spacers.

Q: I want to fit 18 inch aftermarket wheels. Will they clear the N Performance Brake calipers?

A: Due to the complex design of these brake calipers. Most of the 18 inch wheels that are popular on the market may or may not clear the calipers perfectly. Below you can view a video that shows the fitment issues for 18 inch wheels and the N Performance Calipers. You'll need to skip to 4:18 to watch three different wheels being test fitted with the bigger calipers.

That's fantastic information thank you. Maybe when you do backing plates make them to have brake ducts in to aid cooling? something like this -

Is there a part number on the callipers at all you can share?

fantastic I've been looking for a set myself and are like hens teeth lol

That would be me. I parted ways with the N back in July 2021. Feel free to message me if interested. The $1800 price is not firm so you can send me your best offer. Only issue would be the shipping due to its weight. Im located in Miami, FL United States.

What wheel dimensions were you running for those to properly fit?

One question from my ignorance.
Do bigger brakes like this need a change of the brake fluid pump?

Hi. I have a '22 Kona N and have been looking for a big brake kit. Can you please send me a link to the N Performance Mall? Do they ship to the USA? Thank you in advance.
