Mudflaps - yay or nay

What do you think about mud flaps? I was surprised how my doors and side skirts looked after driving only 500 meters of dirty asphalt. It was an exit from a construction site, not full on dirt road.

I’m a little bit afraid of the sand sanding lower side of my car. Mud flaps should be an answer but they are protruding from the body quite much. Also I have read the dirt, water and salt like to be stuck between flaps and a body.

I have never had a car that needed flaps so I don’t have any experience. What do you think? Will the dirt by just a problem of cleanliness or it is wise but ugly to go with mud flap?

I've got mudflaps on mine and have on my last 3 cars matey I love them. Keep my car clean and stops chips and scratches etc.. I personally like the look too.

I have plain black ones with no logos so they look very subtle.

I fitted rallyarmor custom fit ones, pricey but zero mods required to fit them.

@PaZeRa if you don't like the look of mudflaps just wax the sh*t out of the painted areas that are prone to spray / spin-off. Extra protection and easier to remove the muck.

All in all, I think it does not look as ugly as I thought. What are those mudflaps? Why you didn't take the OEM ones?

Ops my mistake As for OEM ones, they are available on my market (Poland here) but they look small compare to yours.

How did you fit your mudflaps? Are they bolted?

I wonder how many nasty stuff will be stored between them and the body.

Oh, those mudguards will only fit the standard i30, not the N/N-Line.

No they are a set of rally flapz and no drilling required at all.

No mate you unscrew the wheel arch lining screws and then refit them Infront of the mudflaps. They use those holes.

Damn. I can't find any mudflaps in Poland and those rally armor are very expensive even without international shipping costs :/

Good choice. I've not seen any better ones out there yet. But I've not actually seen them in the flesh, either. Even their own website doesn't show really clear images of them installed.
