Issues with 5th/6th gear (and 1st/2nd)

Just got back from check-up. Needs a replacement of the gearbox, in warranty. I guess you can all expect a recall soon.

Glad to hear it's resolved! Do you have the list of parts they replaced (ideally with part numbers) by any chance?
Apologies, nope - the dealer provided very little information and I was just glad to get out of there with my car! Good news still is that I've done some good driving over the last few weeks and everything has been changing perfectly.

Strange...hope mine is not affected...buts its a newer one. And hope yours will be ok after the change

Indeed, I was a bit surprised as well.
Although I prefer a full swap to just swapping some parts...
I will get the standard 5/6th gears and synchros replaced, waiting on parts, supposedly coming in next week.

Dropped mine off today, will let me know on Monday how long everything will take. Not going to complain that I got an i10(better than nothing) but my lower back did after 10miles of driving. Made me appreciate how good i30n is :)

My dealer said it's a 1 day job, or maximum 2 days. So get it back on the 3rd day for sure.

I'm currently having an issue changing gears; mostly when the car has warmed up.

It feels as though something isn't quite lining up correctly and the shifter tends to go into the dead space between the gears.

This is becoming rather annoying, causing me to miss gears and on two occasions I've made myself look like a berk crunching gears...

I certainly don't want to destroy my gearbox... As such, It is going back into Hyundai for inspection.

Has anyone else had a similar issue?

How many miles/kilometers on the car? Please let us know how you get on with a resolution.

Gearboxes should not be failing this early, unless there is some sort of manufacturing defect causing premature degradation.
