Is there really 25hp extra in the performance version

I'm sure there is a bit more power just wonder if its really 25hp especially as quite a few dyno results soon more like 260 hp

Surely if overboost is only for a few seconds then the extra hp will also only be for a few secs as power is torque multiplied by the speed of the engine

18 seconds

When I bought the car last year I was always seeing this kind of stuff (turbo pressure etc.) and I remember seeing that green icon there.

But I notice that the green icon never appeared again.

What are the necessary conditions needed to turn it on? Can it be something wrong with the car?

I wonder if anyone has driven a normal one and a Performance one back to back to see if there is a noticeable difference
I did. Firstly i had long testdrive of perfomance version, then hyundai invite me to trackday where i drove performance version too. In a several months before purchase i drove performanse again and immediately normal N. So, my butt dyno didn`t feel difference.

Good to see more of you Ruski folk jumping on board, thanks and welcome.

thanks for your feedback it does seem odd me me that Hyundai don’t claim any more torque just additional HP
I think it will be hard to feel the difference if there is very little torque difference

Which wouldn’t make itself felt much on the road when comparing non performance version which makes sense
Car enthousiasts often speak of revvy engines and how fond they are of them. Naturally aspirated engines are traditionally the epitomy of high revving goodness, but you can also tailor a turbo-engine to suit your desire.

Having the same peak torque higher up in the RPM range might seem futile to most people, but it does allow for an engine that does not feel like it's holding back in the 5500-6700 rpm range. It feels like it wants to go, wherever you are in the RPM range. On the other hand, acceleration (especially in-gear acceleration) suffers.

I quite like the high revs, because you get used to absolute torque quite easily (i.e. a car with 450Nm might feel a lot at first, but after you've owned it for half a year, it feels like the new standard). Adding 50Nm in the lower ranges with a chiptune for me definitely wears off after a while.

Torque distribution however is something you will always feel, everytime you rev the car out, you feel how the torque is at 5500 relative to 4500, 4000, 3500 etc. Then I much rather have 400Nm in 2000-5000 range than 450 in 2000-4000 and dropping off after 4000.

Butt dyno is not a realistic measurement. If you didn't compare 0-60 and 0-100 times, your're butt is off.😂
Sure, i just told my feelings. Anyway, difference is not noticeable.
Actually dealer offers upload performance version soft, but i don't see need for this. Anyway, if these extra 25 hp are, they are only in shorttime overboost mode.

Yes, actually i don't think too with identical torque and maxpower rpm this extra 25 hp, if they are, can play significant role. Anyway it's just software plays, custom soft gives same result on both versions.

It's not just the extra 25hp that people buy the N performance for though is it.

Reasonably. I like turns (and car is awesome in this aspect), i can do 100 km on hiway for 5 km of winding road. ) And really, driving this car, in turn, especially long turn i prefer to be at 3000-4000 rpm, because in part gas modes at 5000 rpm and higher no torque on wheels and controlling of car by gas become impossible. In terms of control in turns yes, 400nm in 3000-5000 better then 450 in 3000-4000.
