i20N - Reviews, General Discussion & Info

The bold pattern for the rim ... 4 bolts 5 bolts and the distance between them ... if the wheel is not matching the pattern of the hub then you cannot install or you may need an adapter

Got it, thanks. So the I20N has the same bolt pattern as the I30N and that means we can stick in some nicer wheels?
Any examples? I'm getting a Dragon Red, so a set of copper/gold rims would probably work out nicely.

So yr saying it needs all that to be top of its class?

That's putting a nice spin on it ;)

I believe they're both class toppers, and it all boils down to a matter of preference: all subjective aspects aside (looks, ergonomics, sound, etc.), they have similar performances. The Hyundai is probably faster around the corners, the Fiesta is more playful and fun to drive. And that's pretty much all there is to it.

Not putting a spin on anything, just simply asking a question? It was a strange comment that’s all..

Sure, it was just an innocent question ;)
Agree on the stange comment bit,it doesn't need all that to be on the top of its class. It's not a crowded class, either :p

It’s strange because he’s saying with all these mods it’ll be a better car, so the ST can’t do the same then? all I’m saying is, you can only judge these cars from the factory, once you start throwing mods in it makes it difficult, there’s 300bhp FiSTs out there, you can’t judge that next to a stock i20N can you? Like I said strange comment.

Agree. They're both comparable and somewhat equivalent in their standard configuration.
Mods cannot be measured the same way.

Comment is based on 3 different STi(s), 2 CUPRA(s), 2 208 GTi BPS ... A direct comparison to 208 GTi by Peugeot Sport that I drive now is that i20N feels 'too slow' ... 208 engine it looks like an electric one in terms of torque delivery vs i20N

I even told to dealer 'it seems like engine misfire!!!'

So why you ordered this car?

Hyundai state the torque curve is flat, that’s why you and others “feel” there is a difference.

you won’t feel a progression in power when the torque is the same from 1750-4500 (275) or there abouts. Overboost (304) comes in at 2000-4000 but that’s not much more torque. A remap or racechip would make it feel more lively.

the fact the German car mag Auto Bild reviewed the i20N around a track against the FiST and Mini Cooper works and said the i20N was faster.

Copied from FB

Contidrome Track Test Battle :)

A famous german magazine tested this 3 cars.

Overall Ranking was:

1: i20N 275 Points
2: Fiesta ST 260 Points
3: Mini JCW 253 Points

Brake from 100 to 0:

1. I20N 33,9m
2. JCW 35,8m
3. ST 36,7m

Acceleration (0-200) GPS:

1. JCW 23,8s
2. I20N 28,6s
3. ST 29,7s

Track 3,8 Km:

Good night everyone,

On my i20N I have being feeling some hot air on my right leg, today I check and the hot air flow is coming from a hole close to the throttle pedal (You can see it on the image below). By looking at the image look like a part is missing there, do you guys have the same hole or have you been feeling the hot air on your leg?

So if you feel it’s too slow and it needs a remap, exhaust and intake too knock the ST off then why not just save yourself the hassle of doing all that and buy the Fiesta? If yr not impressed with the engine I don’t understand why you ordered one? Why not a i30N then?

By reading what he has commented, I don't believe he said anything about what you’ve eluded to. I believe he’s interested in modifying the i20N for his reasons. It’s already clear the i20N is a quicker car than the ST.

Just checked. No parts missing, it is the same here. But I haven't felt any form of hot air on legs, and we were driving looooong times with shorts, so we would have recognized it at one point.
