Yes indeed the school run race track..That's the point of these kind of cars, though - make the local b-roads and "long way" commute feel like the Nürburgring![]()

mine has been updated.
I’ve taken a leap of faith, but that is based on EVERY single written and every single video review of the i20N saying that it handles like a dream, the chassis is first class and the driving position is nigh on perfect.Hi all, I'm trying to decide between the i30n DCT and an i20n to replace my GT86 as a daily driver, but having major issues finding a test drive for the i20. Would anyone recommend just having a test drive of the i20 n-line to get a feel for the platform and base a decision off that, or should I hold out for the real deal?
I assume a lot of the orders for the i20n have been made without even a test drive, but I can't bring myself to take the leap of faith!
In the Sheffield area, so no shortage of dealerships around, but every one I've called seems to have cars on order that have already sold before they've reached the premises.@Batty Where abouts in the UK are you?

Usually I’d take a test drive, but when EVERY review is saying the same thing you’ve got to think that they can’t all be lying.
Yeah I get it, 25k is a lot of money for something you haven’t tried yourself, but I just have faith that without exception the i20N’s handling/steering/seats/driving position and chassis have been complimented by 100% of the reviews to date. Based on that, for me it’s a no brainer.In the Sheffield area, so no shortage of dealerships around, but every one I've called seems to have cars on order that have already sold before they've reached the premises.
Honestly, it's hard for me not to just order one based on the reviews, but the brain is still overriding the heart (for now).
@Batty I think Barnsley had a demo?
Officially dealerships aren’t having demos from what we were told but you can test drive in a few places. We test drove in Bristol and I think Worcester now has one possibly, and I’m sure I’d heard Barnsley were test driving.

As an ex GT86 owner I would agree the i20N will be probably be more fun on the public road,whereas the GT86 might be better for track days.I'm replacing my 19 BRZ and had an 86 before that with an i20N. Have only sat in one so buying blind without test drive. I thought about the i30N but when reveiewers are saying its Hyundai's best drivers car now and with it being like an old skool hot hatch that swayed my chioce. Have been given so much grief by other 86,BRZ owners saying how can you go from a bespoke sports car to an FWD chav mobile with a torsion beam. I explained to them little do they know how much fun a light weight hot hatch can be..my old Clio 16v from back in the day was more fun than my current car by a long way...
