I reported mine at my 10K servicing as delaminating where my heel sits. The dealer claims "Fair Wear and Tear" so no replacement. Will look into contacting Hyundai to complain about their poor product.Bought the rubber floor mats from the dealership. They are expensive at $300 AU for a set of 4 however, they certainly look good because they have the n logo and and have the Pirelli tread pattern which I think is Killa!
They are practical too, I expect that they will last the lifetime of the car and won't wear like the carpet ones do.
I highly recommend them as you can clearly see.
In regards, to the seat covers.. I saw in a review on YT (whilst waiting for my car) that the driver's seat had worn down significantly closest to the door from getting in and out after just 5 and a half months of use. My car is 3 and a half months old since delivered and it is already starting to show the same. I started looking for seat covers this morning. The thought of them in my car fills me with dread. I don't want to ruin the look of that interior and always thought that seat covers look tacky. After getting off eBay a minute a go it seems there are actually some pretty nice ones out there.
I won't be buying any of them tho.
Will instead swing by an upholstery joint next week for a chat and a price and finding my solution there because... i20N front seats have those little "airbag" tags on them.
After getting smashed into last year by another Hyundai doing 70km/h in what was then my new i30 at the time.
Both cars were written off. All 5 of us walked away from that incident without a scratch!
So you can be sure I won't be compromising any of the safety features Hyundai has incorporated into their vehicles and I recommend that you do the same or at least keep that in mind. Cheers
Dealerships. Uhuh. There are not exactly who you want to be speaking too about anything really! I bought 2 new i30 actives before this one and I upgraded the wheels on the first one and they kept the stock rims from me.I reported mine at my 10K servicing as delaminating where my heel sits. Sorted, just normal hooks nothing special about them. What's the best way to remove the driver side mats with the clips?
Hi folks,
I also recently received my set of genuine i20N rubber floor mats, which I used to replace some temporary carpet floor mats. My observations:
1. The mats are relatively heavy, so can be expected to slightly reduce performance of the vehicle. (I did not weight them, but the set felt like they weighed about 5kg or more. The added weight is at least positioned nice and low in the vehicle.)
2. The i20N sounds distinctly different (I would say better) inside when driving now with the rubber mats installed, being noticeably quieter, with mid to high frequencies being clearly reduced in intensity. While this is to be expected to some extent, I was suprised by the extent of the change.
3. Even when the mats are nice and new, they do respond favourably to being moisturised (on the top facing side only) - looking better, becoming even more physically compliant, and also apparently further damping noise more effectively. (Moisturizing is a tedious process though due to the tyre tread pattern texture; and moisturizing them will make them more slippery for a while though.)
4. As others have noted, the mats do look good (and fit well), especially when new.
The i20N rubber mats (see link below) are different to those in your link, and have the N instead of the i20, as well as a different texture pattern.Hi guys,
Are these mats with just the N or just i20? I ended up with these in the below link.
