Hey guys,

I’m having a pretty frustrating issue with my 2024 Hyundai i30 N and I’m hoping someone here might have an idea.

Problem description

Under hard braking(without triggering abs) (especially at higher speeds,(100kmh+)), the car pulls noticeably to the right.

  • Under light braking / low speed, the car remains perfectly straight
  • The issue only occurs under higher braking load
  • The behavior is consistent (always pulls to the right)

What has already been checked / replaced

Braking system

  • Brake discs and pads replaced multiple times (3 different combinations tested)
  • Issue remains unchanged → always pulls to the right
  • Brake calipers checked → moving freely
  • Brake system bled 3 times using a diagnostic tool → no air in the system

Vacuum / brake booster

  • Previously had an issue with a hard brake pedal
  • Important: even before that was fixed, the car already pulled to the right under heavier braking
  • Check valve replaced → that issue is resolved
  • Current problem still present → likely unrelated

Suspension / tires

  • Winter tires + 3 different summer tire sets tested → no difference
  • Wheel alignment checked and adjusted → no change
  • Control arm bushings inspected → OK
  • Car is nearly new → wear-related issues very unlikely

Vehicle history

  • Delivered to dealership: 05/2024
  • Purchased by me: 06/2025 with only 7 km on the clock
👉 The car basically sat at the dealership for about a year without being driven.

My suspicion

I suspect the issue might be related to the car sitting unused for a long time, but I’m not sure if that could realistically cause something like this.

Current situation

We’ve been trying to fix this issue for several months now:

  • Hyundai warranty support hasn’t been helpful
  • My dealership currently has no clear idea what the cause could be

Question

Has anyone experienced something similar or has an idea what could cause:

👉 a consistent pull to one side under heavy braking,
despite multiple brake components already being replaced?

I’d really appreciate any input or ideas before going deeper (and more expensive) into things like the ABS unit.

Thanks in advance!

Yes :) this Post was structured with help of AI because English is not my native language

Mine had same simptoms and was taken to wheel alignment oldschool by rope. Front subframe was loosen and adjusted and offcourse all the other specs were checked and corrected. The majority of modern 3D wheel alignments technicians rely only on machines and they are not deep diving in each car as a man who does it with rope, sliding steel plates under the wheels and vernier caliper. Car can be "in spec" but in spec can be lets say -1,8 camber on one side and -1,3 on the other.

1) Verify the "stance" ride height is equal side to side and front to rear.
2) Verify electronic suspension setting is being correctly sent to each shock and that shock is reacting correctly (and not blown).
3) Verify brake pressure, especially to the fronts, are equal (possible line restriction) & don't discount that "check valve". The left side & brake lines may be involved.
