How To: Install a Light Bar (mounted above number plate)

Massive difference, the stock high beam is horribly bad, I refused to drive at night before the install (lots of wild animals here). Now I am happy to drive anytime.
My light bar cost 20 euro from china, it works very well.

Reviving an old thread, but was thinking about installing the same on my i30N. Something different I’d like to try though is to use this:

As the connector appears identical, although I will need to check the pin out.
How’d you go with the plug? I’m looking at mounting a light bar behind the grill. Trying to suss out the electrical side before I start :)

Hey yeah the plug worked a treat, I did however have to change one of the pins that the piggy back harness connects to, pretty sure it was the ground which was easy enough with a multimeter and worked a treat. Only downside is I don’t have the car anymore so I can’t show you exactly what I did. I also kept the switch under the bonnet as turned on as I didn’t want to mount the swich it came with and never found the time to research an oem style switch to use instead which meant when the high beam was on, the light bar was on.

This is how I installed mine. These are mounted to the crash bar. Type: Purelux Panter 5

Did you have issues with the light bar staying on permanently?

Do you happen to have any more photos that show exactly how it’s mounted to the crash bars?
Did you have to cut the grille to install them?
I drilled and put rivnuts in the crashbar
