How To: Headunit firmware & GPS navigation maps update

Downloaded mobis software, unpacked and copied to sd-card, inserted to car and allowed to update. After restart it got stucked on boot with hyundai logo showed. Radio is playing but thats all
was the car running during the update process? The car shuts the navigation system off to save battery if the car is not running. This can brick the navigation system if you are unlucky

It was running :-/

No after HU rebooted i let it there for half hour, then, try to reboot it and then removed sd-card
Looks like something had gone awry. Check the SD card contents against the downloaded software, do they match. Try formatting the SD card again to fat32 and copy the software again. Then try another update.

Are you sure its fat32 not exFat?

Did you format the SD card on a Mac? I've read in a German forum that this caused problems for some people (although I did it on a Mac myself and didn't have any issues).

No, i did not format at all, reused card that was in HU

Being empty in the file explorer and being formatted are two very different things, mate.

Sure, but i dont think that was a problem, more probably some corrupted files
The update process checks the software before it begins. You're the first person to have an issue doing this. Where did you download the software and maps from.
