How To: Headunit firmware & GPS navigation maps update

I have completed the update, speed camera settings are now greyed out. I haven't checked to see if they are working as I hadn't planned on driving near any in the next few days.

Do you have a pre facelift or newer model

It doesn’t seem to have done anything to my 2022 i20N (but then I don’t use the built in sat-nav as I use Waze).

I had no luck on Reddit, I'm asking here as well. I have a i30N with this version of SW "PDeN_PE.EUR.S5W_L.001.001.211117". As of now, I can disable the android auto split screen but without luck. Every time I go into Google Maps navigation, a third of the screen is wasted with a navigation icon and my phone name. Reading online it seems it might be a bug but I'm not 100% sure.
Is there a changelog list or a place where I can find standalone SW without using the official Huyndai one? I think it will just update to the newest version without letting me decide what to pick.
My main concern is having ADAS and other stuff on by default every time I turn on the car, which I do not want. Right now I just have some chimes but they're really low volume and they don't bother me, but I don't want the car to reset to default.

The Android auto screen has got nothing to do with the software in the head unit. It's a setting within Android auto.

On Android Auto settings there isn't anything about that. The only option is in phone projection, and I've turned it off.
I've read online, here for example or here that an update is required. Second link shows the issue I'm facing, it's an incredible waste of space

Just touch the map to make it full screen. And i think you can collapse the search box by touching the small chevron in the entry box.

I don't have any arrow or settings to expand it. Like I've said, I think I have an old software. The car is from 2022 just like the software.
Since you have the new one, does your settings revert to default every time you start it up?

I'll regularly switch between the unit's own built-in satnav and Android auto. To be honest I don't take a great deal of notice and I just move it to suit whatever I feel like.

Ok, but how about ADAS turning on by default every time you start the car back? I've read online that has something to do with a 2024 update from August. I do know every European car is like that by default after June or July 2024 so that make sense, and is exactly what I do not want, but at the same time it bothers me that I'm wasting a third of screen space while I'm using android auto

The reason I don't suffer from it is because mine is a PFL and doesn't have a wide screen, Android auto fill the whole screen on mine, my wife's i20 , a 2025 model has a wide screen and AA fills the whole screen.
