I got this one - the ‘new mini model’Apple
I assume these have to go in the 'computer' USB port, or can they operate through a splitter in the charger port?I got this one - the ‘new mini model’

Can't be done I'm afraid. I use a wireless android auto dongle so I don't need to physically connect my phone and then use Spotify for my music, you can then use voice commands to play whatever you want.I assume these have to go in the 'computer' USB port, or can they operate through a splitter in the charger port?
I'm looking for a way to play music from a USB card while also attaching a phone for Android Auto.
I guess this isn't possible and wish there were two intelligent USB ports.
Perfect - thanks Jim. Looks like it'll be going on thenI did it on my PFL yesterday. It's just a map update. Absolutely no change to the software. Just write the SD card with the new data and plug in. There's no update to be done.
I only know with regard to the i20N - in the case of that car there is a USB to the left of the 12V power point - that USB has power and signal. These devices will not work in the charge port as they have to be able to pass signal. The USB on the right only has power. The device I linked to only works for Apple but there are others for Android and some will even do both.I assume these have to go in the 'computer' USB port, or can they operate through a splitter in the charger port?

Have left the car parked up for just over a week - holiday - unlocked the car, started the engine without any hesitation or anything untoward, glanced down and noticed the time was wrong on the headunit.
Turns out - somehow - whilst it’s been laid up the headunit has performed a complete factory reset by itself as I’ve lost all previous destinations, it’s reverted to KM not miles, I’ve lost all Dab favorites bluetooth the whole lot…
Thoughts on what’s prompted this?
That’s what’s confused me - it’s a 10month old battery and showing no signs of weakness or age, and like you I’ve disconnected the battery without any loss of personal data or settings… it’s just an odd one!Hmm… no, afraid not. Even when I left my car for a month and came back to a flat battery it didn’t do any kind of a reset when the RÁC jumped the battery. I’ve also disconnected the battery a number of times without issue and done a bunch of sat/nav updates.
I’ve been thinking about this a bit and I really don’t think it’s a battery related problem. So then the question is ‘so what did cause it?’. I guess the car could have been hit by lightning or even a nearby electrical storm - but both seem unlikely. A small spider or insect breaching contacts - again unlikely. A dry solder joint making intermittent contact seems the most likely and not an uncommon issue with all electronic components now that lead is no longer allowed in flow soldering. That’s what’s confused me - it’s a 10month old battery and showing no signs of weakness or age, and like you I’ve disconnected the battery without any loss of personal data or settings… it’s just an odd one!
