How To: Headunit firmware & GPS navigation maps update

There were three options shown when I hit update, "quick", "general" and another one I don't remember now. I selected general and it took an hour and half in my case with a pretty fast usb I own so that's that...

Quick does the update with a restart of the system, i think general does it without restarting, which takes longer.
The quick update took 35 mins for me.

I'm looking forward to a non buggy update, the one from November 2021 has been full of them.
Hi Jajodu
Out of interest. What issues are you having...? My sat nav search was fixed so I was happy!
But I have the map change from 3d to 2d randomly and sometimes the speed of the road is (- -) instead of speed which should/could be there all the time.
No other issues I've noticed

I do a regular run to Yorkshire and on the A1 it keeps telling me to go straight on at nearly every lay-by, very annoying when a straight run of 80 miles is interrupted by instructions to go straight on for many minor roads and parking areas. Not all though, some it will ignore. The most annoying thing though is the weird route instructions it comes up with, on a journey I always use the satnav for traffic alerts, even though I'm familiar with the route. It tells me to make a right turn for no good reason when the usual turn is 2 miles ahead at the next roundabout. I used to trust it implicitly, now I'm back taking aTomTom on my regular trips up north. That has always been completely accurate.
I did speak to Hyundai nav support who suggested I reset the head unit and reload the software, no difference at all. Hopefully a fix will be in the next release.

Ah ok - got you. I don't rely on the sat nav much so haven't seen these issues. If I'm travelling to a place for the first time I tend to use google maps on android auto. I normally scope it out etc... on the computer and when I plug my phone in I just pick from the list and go.
Hopefully they'll sort it out next time but who knows eh..!

I just downloaded the update via the Navigation Updater software.
Took me exactly 35 mins to deploy it to the car.
So far everything works fine. At the first glance nothing new though.

It's normally on the update website under notifications, I had a quick look but nothing beyond November 2021

What I have noticed so far is a pretty dramatic performance increase of the whole system, including Android Auto.
At least for me, after the November update, Android Auto was stuttering like crazy, had to wait 30 sec after each input, not useable. That is solved for me.

Hi

Does anybody knows what is the latest version of software available for a 2017 I30n U.K. versión ?

Mine said EUR SOP V120.

Thanks

Latest version is dated Nov 2021. It's the string of numbers after the version.
You can download and install the latest software from update.Hyundai.com
