So,
I had my fuel pump replaced as part of a recall. I have read a few reports that the dealers do mess up the instalaltion. I usually drive like a granpa but after reading few complaints I have decided to check if the car performance changed after the recall. Lucky I did as it turned out that under hard acceleration in secing gear the car would not rev past 5000rpm. It was cutting off the fuel. I have taken it back to the dealer. Left the car with them. They have called me and told me that they cannot replicate the issue. I have driven with their techician and the car would not rev past 5000rpm. I was told to leave the car with them. Next day they caleld me and told me that there are no faults coming up on their computer and the car drives fine. Once again I drove with their techician and the problem was there and evident. They told me to leave the car with them. Week later they called me and told me it is high pressure fuel pump not the fuel pump they replaced. They have replaced it under warranty and it seemed to fix the issue. However now when the car is cold the starter motor turns several times before the engine starts. It only happenes when the car is cold. Wondering if anyone else experience similar isseu or might know what is causing it.
