Fuel Rail Pressure PID

So I can log fuel rail pressure using scan xl and my laptop. But I was hoping to be able to find the pid to do this on the go from torque.

I have found the awesome github page that has a lot of custom pids I've added to torque and am working on adding to scan xl for high speed logging for tuning. Since the SAE pid doesn't work on torque for some reason and the github page doesn't have it I was wondering if anyone would happen to have it.

I've been able to do something similar for an Android app by sniffing on the Bluetooth trafic and then filtering it using Wireshark. I'm sure there must be dedicated software for USB traffic sniffing (in case you've got a wired connection). That should help with getting the mode and PID (eg. 22 e001) and header (eg. 7E0). Then you could use that to setup a dummy PID in Torque and try and match the live response to the data you're getting from Scan XL to try and work out which token(s) you need to look at and what the formula might be for the fuel rail pressure.

Hi all, apologies for resurrecting this thread, but did this get discovered? After having the car go into limp mode round a tight corner (on track, full acceleration out of it, pretty sure it's the HPFP but it'll be the second one to be replaced) I'd like to be able to keep an eye on the fuel rail pressure.

Would rather do it simply with OBD2 scanner thing and app, as seems the only other option is Canchecked which on this forum has a mixed rating (and honestly I'm not going to sit there trying to code it, for a start I'm on a Mac)

Keep in mind the delivery pump in the tank, these also don't like sipping air. The delivery pump has to bring the fuel pressure before the HPFP boost the pressure again to high pressure. Was your tank nearby empty?
