Front seat cover removal

Hello!

I’m trying to remove the front seat cover to replace my cloth cover by the alcantara version.
I’m trying to remove the front seat shield outer cover but there’s one screw that I cannot seem to reach at all, the clearance is too tight, seems like I only have like 11mm to work with (see picture).

Is there anything I’m missing? Is there an easier way to reach this screw and remove it? I’m blocked by the seat frame and I tried every seat position but this doesn’t help.

I’ve checked the service manual but for some reason my seat version isn’t mentioned :(

Thanks a lot for the help!

I managed to get it off with an angled screwdriver, only to realize later that I didn't actually need to remove it in order to remove the shield cover 😅

That screw usually isn’t meant to be accessed straight-on in that position. The trick is to loosen the main seat/base bolts first so the frame can shift slightly, which gives you just enough clearance to reach it. A low-profile 1/4" ratchet with a short bit also helps a lot in that tight space.
