Good afternoon! I've seen this new BBK for our Hyundai i20n:

I'm willing to buy it. First, I'd need to know what ET I need so my rims don't rub the brakes. I'm considering OZ ULTRALEGGERA 8x8 ET 48 or Motec Ultralight MCR2 8x18 ET 50.
With the OZ, I might need a small 3mm spacer, and with the Motec, a 5mm spacer. Would it be necessary to use longer wheel studs for these spacers?

Thank you all :)

Have you hit the limits of just using different discs and pads with braided lines? I've seen comments that the OEM brakes are very good for everything except very long/hot track sessions.

I'm curious to know if those brembos and avaialble disc/pad combos to suit them will help temps/fade significantly vs their cost.

I wrote to him on Ebay, calipers are from Clio 3 RS, he says 10mm spacers for stock rims. I have also contacted another producer (SC8Engineering on Instagram) who has basically the same kit and he said 12mm. Against my initial expectations the kit with the i30N discs of 345mm and Megane 3 RS calipers requires 16mm spacers for stock rims. Now since I was interested in this latter one I downloaded the template from freakyparts and checked whether my Mak NTT 18x7.5 ET45 would fit without spacers and the answer is yes, so an ET45 can accommodate quite big calipers, but obviously the spokes design is also very important

3mm spacers for sure no need to change the studs, 5mm could be at the limit. The minimum thread engagement of the nut on the stud should be equal to the stud diameter, in our case 12mm, i.e. 12/1.5 = 8 turns. I think I counted 11 full turns on the stock rims, which would mean 3 “spare” turns (4.5mm) so a bit at the limit. Remains to be seen if the rims you mention have thinner nut seats than the OEM ones

for a standard ET 53 you will need a 15/16mm spacer for reference with Brembo's. i have a second set of rims and tires at 18x8 with ET 45 and also have a 5mm spacer to clear them

Have you needed to put longer wheel studs for that 5mm spacer with the 8x18 et 45 rim?

No, you won’t need longer studs for either 3 or 5mm spacers. I’m currently using 3mm spacers with 18x8 OZ Ultraleggeras and there is no issue.

Mine are the Megane RS calipers with standard size rotors.
