Hey guys, my i30N 2023 has been throwing an engine light at random lately. There doesn’t seem to be any symptoms as in it doesn’t sound any different, drives fine, no limp mode, no difference in sound, power etc.
I originally brought it to the garage I purchased the car from but they found no fault codes. Their reader may not have been able to read the car but either way they cleared the ECU by disconnecting the battery. Since then the light has come back 2 more times. It seems to happen at random. Sometimes when I start the car, sometimes when driving.
Is there any common well known issues that fit the bill for this? I’ve seen other threads about it being injectors. Swirl flap actuators, the GPF, etc. I have my own OBD2 reader on the way so hopefully that will help before I get it to a main dealer. What do you think?
