I’ve had a 2nd hand refurbished rack fitted over a month ago as i had a power steering issue. The rack replacement fixed this issue but before it got replaced, there was a quiet but noticeable sound. This second hand refurbished rack had the same sound but became louder (perhaps to my car being off the road for 9 weeks). We thought it was the motor in the rack so got another refurbished rack sent up under warranty. The sound is still there. It’s a very noticeable grinding, whining sound as if a motor when accelerated turning mainly once the cars warmed up at slower speeds. I’m unable to add a video of the sound but if anyone has any suggestions on where this sound could be coming from or if it could be yet another rack?
