Someone of you still. Using Hicom? Seems to be updated and supported for the 2018 and 2019 i30PDN cars :oops: last time I've checked, there was still no update. Maybe someone using could update and try it?

That's really interesting, I was hoping that G-Scan would offer the functions I wanted but it appears not. If you have access to both would you say that the G-Scan has the same options as the Launch X431? There's no point in getting the G-Scan otherwise,

I will not publish any tools until I tested it :) if I get positive feedback from the seller, I'll order the device with software and license (~340-370€) I think I could give feedback till Friday. If it won't work, I'll try the upper solution ("SeCons - HiCOM") which is not totally new to the whole hyundai stuff.

Update: for the HiCOM Device.

After I talked to the supplier, he said for specific questions, I should contact the manufacturer. I have now received an email from him on my request:

So I hope they will keep me up to date.


Next thing: Yesterday I ordered this Interface with the shown software and full Hyundai License. Should arrive today or tomorrow. I'll let you know what it is and what you can do with it.

What about warranty and self-diagnosing? :p can they see it when you plug in an OBD device?
 
Are you saying can Hyundai dealers tell whether you've plugged in a diagnostic tester?
I hardly think so and even if they did I can't see how that would affect your warranty.

This is something they can't see I think. If they could, how would they proof that it wasn't a Hyundai-dealer or the german TÜV-man? :D Also our police was "diagnosing" and checking if there was something not stock :D

I think it would affect your warranty if you damage something while programming "not intended" things.

I've treated myself to a launch x431v+pro. Gives really detailed diagnosis, even told me the sound generator was disconnected. You can do more or less anything the dealer can do, i.e. calibrate the steering angle sensor. Will also do the wife's Kia. Well pleased.

Just had a play with the x431 and found the option to enable the SLIF in the multifunction display. I wondered where that had got to as the demo I drove had it but my new 2019MY didn't. Now I know that it's there but not turned on. I've tested this feature and it works fine. God knows wht it's not enabled from the factory.

Hello!

Today i accessed a little bit to the new GDS.

So, we not have many possibities to change.

Official can be enabled the SLIF from GDS. (Posted to the right topic)

So i seen all the modules all the options.
Cluster can be modified a lot of options like electronic parking brake, automatic parking function, intelligent speed assist, 4WD etc. This options not tested because these are need some plus modules.

Power gateway module same to LaunchX431 coding.

From ISM (Body module) can be enable only what is seen upper the LaunchX431. +Windows open/close from key fob.

Multi camera has only changes from SLIF, and Country programming.
Else modules can't be individualise. Only update, initialized etc.
All of other things need to be change module only.
I'm not find any modifications for cluster module cruise control speed display ( i think this cluster can't be show this from firmware).

Multimedia system fully separated from the GDS system!!! Can't be coded, or diagnostic from GDS.

At the moment (from my 2018/nov. GPF) not have any update for modules.

Heared about a special software, about lot of more coding options, but this software had only the factory assembly line.

Thought so.. Hope someone will lose his factory laptop near a tuning center.. ^^

I think this would be only microcontroller programming software like arduino IDE for example (okay, I think they wouldn't use these, but you know what I mean.) maybe someone wanna Open some of his modules? :D

Also, can those tools setup the streering/ediff/exhaust ...etc values that they are gone when you disconnect the battery ?
 
What scan tools are you using? I want something better than those elm327s but not expensive af
Sorry for the scientific "af" expression haha.
Also is there any tool that can recode the suspension, steering etc when you remove the battery? (Without having to use battery savers)
