Diagnostic / Coding / Programming Discussion (Devices/Software)

I'll check this launch x431v+.
But why don't you need to recode them; did you have any sort of ecu firmware upgrade ? Last time I did remove the battery, the dealer confirmed that some values were gone, and recoded everything (my e.g my steering was heavy all the times and not even custom mode could fix it)

My wife has a 2020 hyundai tucson N Line. I have fitted led headlamp bulbs, but it has come up with a waring light on the dashboard saying that the headlamp beams are low. There are not because I have taken it to work and had checked the headlamps with the beam setter. Can you codethelaights totally them that there are led bulbs are fitted as you can with my mini. Thanks in advance for the information

This is a Hyundai N cars forum, not the N line. As far as I'm aware all the N cars have led headlights as standard so the question has never arisen here, perhaps you'd be better to go to a Hyundai mainline forum.

Hi, does anyone know about special hyundai keys that are in place in models since 2018, when you try to code something using ODB dongle and app?

I have a lot testers. I use carman i700 or Launch X431 for Asian cars.
can launch x431 code anything on ioniq 5 ? i have ioniq 5 2021 year model . i wonder if for example front radar goes faulty or some sensor in front or back bumper can i use launch x431 to code it to the car ?

Best place to ask that question would be the launch distributor for your country
why would i ask launch when i can ask people who own new hyundai cars. it says on launch website when you go to check what tool can do it says variant coding , variant coding backup and input but i dont have a clue what that means . i also did contact autel and these people are just sales people they gave me no correct answer

The problem with tools like the launch, I have an x431v+ is that they are always playing catch-up with very new vehicles as they have to reverse engineer the vehicle codes, it means they are usually about 2 years behind current model.
Mine talks perfectly to my MY 19 i30n but I can't speak for your model.
To be honest, if you don't know what variant coding means perhaps you don't need a high end professional machine. What do you want to use it for?

HI! Can anyone tell me if there is a diagnosis to do retrofit coding?
I installed the FL (2023) infotainment radio and instrument cluster on my Hyundai i30N PRE (2020).
I encountered these problems:
- The km are those of the FL
- Custom doesn't work
- I can't access Bluelink with the app.
I found all the electrical diagrams needed for the wiring and everything was done perfectly, so the problem is that you have to do the proxy/activation alignment to unlock it.
Can anyone help me?
They recommended Launch X431 PRO5 to me, has anyone tested it?

Piero

this wont get solved by a third-party coding tool. You need to take it to a dealer so it can get coded to your VIN using an official Hyundai Tool. Third party tools don't offer this.

- I can't access Bluelink with the app.
will never work on a pre-facelift. The Facelift has a full bluelink unit in its glovebox which the pre-facelift is missing.

- Custom doesn't work
could also be related to my first answer - not sure though.

Are you referring to the BCM module? because eventually I have all the FL spare parts

No, the BCM is connected to the Unit that also houses the SIM-Card for internet connectivity. Thats the module that offers bluelink connectivity/features as well.
Can you kindly tell me the code or name of this module?
The FL radio additionally has 2 connectors: - C connector
- LTE box (the exact location is behind the Instrument Panel)
Both were assembled correctly For the rest they have the same modules as the Pre (I'm speaking physically), at least from what I'm trying to understand from the electrical and physical diagrams.
If we can implement Bluelink, Radio FL, I would be happy to do the Retrofit Tutorial here on the Forum, but I need your help 🙂

I don't have any specific details about the FL that I can share - I can only tell you that we are talking about more then just cables and connectors. Significant parts of the M-CAN network contain different data compared to the PFL. That already explains the increased functionality the FL offers, compared to the PFL.

However, decoding the FL CANBUS is a complete challenge on its own and just swapping over some components left and right will not solve it. To be safe you'd have to swap over every single component of the canbus network, since some minor components do send crucial data relevant to others.

At least that's the case on the C-CAN network on the PFL and I imagine it's the same on the FL's M-CAN.

Swap over every component and go to you local dealer and hope they are able to re-code the stuff to your vehicle without breaking other stuff.
