So it happened today... someone misread the lights, turned in front of me and I T-boned them :(

Car is a total write off and now I've got 2 weeks to find something new. I had one of the earliest 2017 models and it was pre GPF. I'm looking to see what people think about the difference in pre/post GPF exhaust sound as I loved mine so much it feels wrong to settle for something slightly different. What are peoples experiences with the sound difference and can anyone share when exactly they were added in (I.e. Could I search for an early 2018 model and it will be pre GPF?)

Pics to come when I can blur the plates :(((((

Jesus....... that so said to ear :(
I believe the gpf models started on 092018 if i'm not mistaken. Basicaly, you see fuel door shaped circle=non gpf, rectangle=gpf
Noise wise, i don't think there is much of a difference, you just got so attached to yours that anything else might seam a downgrade. I do think that newer models are faultier comparing the previous ones, but this is on other aspects unrelated to exhaust.
Of course, gpf sucks for modifications purposes but if you intent to keep it stock, honestly there is no "visible" difference.

Oh damn, sorry to hear.

About the GPF models: Sound is bassier, but pops/crackles are just as loud as without. If you still want one without the GPF, look for one with EURO 6c emissions standard. EURO 6d-Temp and up all have GPF.

Holy shit. That’s my worst nightmare right there. Hope you get things all sorted and you have a new car soon.

:(:(:(:( I sympathize with you my friend. Same thing happens to me also last month (i will write my story on separate post).

Oh fuck that looks bad.

Though, may I ask: are the rims still good?
Yeah for the most part I think - not sure I'll be able to get a hold of them though if the insurance company has its way. Just bough a brand new set of Michelin PS4Ss too - barely 200 miles on the clock :C

ouch
Wish i never saw that now. Mines a PB too....i'm nearly crying

I hope very much the other person and you are alright.:( Looking at the damage, it definately looks like it was at a lower speed, thank God.

Cars can be replaced, people not so much. It's a good thing you're both well insured. I'm certainly sorry to see it happen but unfortunately it does. I think we've all had our measure of accidents

Now, is the time to put it behind you and move forward into another car of your choice. :) I wish you well in your search and a speedy and fair settlement from the insurance company.

Really sorry for you hope you get a replacement soon. How did you find the P4S's compared with the original tyres?
