Hyuandi wanted £510 for a set of front discs & pads so I purchased yellow stuff pads and a sert of Mtech discs total cost £210 fitted my myself so far fantastic discs & pads.

Only problem I had to reuses the old shims, to buy from Hyuandi costs £50 same for the rear shims tried looking on line no where seems to stock them can anyone here recommed shims for the front and rear as I will be doing the rear discs and pads in about 12 months time. 5mm on the pads and 18.5 on the discs so decided to leave them on the car for another year.

Any help with the shims will be fantastic or is it ok to reuse the old shims if i'm being honest I would prefer to repelace them with new shims..

Thanks

Hello,

For the front I used a kit I found online: QUICK BRAKE 109-0021
I live in France so I’m not sure you can find the same one in the UK but it cost me like 5€ and it was the same as OEM :D

I also used them for the front pads as the blueprint ones supplied with their pads simply didn't fit, the rears were fine though from the same company.

Hello folks

Thanks for posting and sorry for the late reply it is appreciated taking the time to reply.

I must look into that as Hyundai charge £49.99 for those shims.

That price is taking the proverbial.

Yes indeed it did surely I couldn't believe when she said £50 so I opted to refrain from purchasing so used the old shims I got this accessory kit for the rears https://www.buycarparts.co.uk/metzger/18257195

I did not change out the guide pins as they weren't pitted and they seem to be in good order maybe next time which will be hopefully in 6 years time I will change out the guide pins as well.
