Brakes Big Brake Kit Options

I’m currently looking into big brake kit options for the i20N and would love to hear from anyone who has already done an upgrade.

Has anyone tried running the Brembo Megane 3 RS 4-piston kit with 345 mm discs on the i20N, or any other custom setups that worked well?
What are your thoughts on AP Racing solutions?

At the moment my options seem to be either fully custom AP Racing calipers with bespoke brackets, discs and bells, Brembo calipers paired with 345 mm discs, or the EBC kit designed specifically for the i20N, though at 330 mm it feels a bit small compared to the others. I also looked into the 355 mm i30N route, but making it fit the i20N seems too costly.

My goal is to have a setup that’s safe and consistent for daily driving but also capable of handling some track use without fade, while filling out the wheel space as much as possible. For reference I’m running 18x8J ET45 wheels, so I’d also be interested in feedback on wheel clearance and spacer requirements with bigger brake kits. I will attach a photo of the rims.

I have the EBC with MR11 pads installed on 17“ rims - and it is just great!

But for daily use on road and some trackdays the stock brakes are not that bad.

For track use would recommend other pads, as stock pads just melt like chocolate in the sun.

For me, Endless N39S in front and ME22 on rear worked very well.

Looks absolutely mental! Exactly what I would like to accomplish. Could you please list the exact parts you used (caliper model, rotor/bell specs, brackets and such)?

The calipers are the brembo 4 pots from the megane rs3 and i got a set of custom decals made for them. the bells are custom 1 off alloy made by godspeed here in the uk and the rotors are the 355mm discs godspeed make for the megane rs also. The brackets are custom made from a company called milletech in croatia.
As far as i am aware this is a 1 of 1 as it was custom made from different companies. Its all actually sat in my garage as i no longer have the I20N

A guy in croatia had them made by milletech in zagreb for his i20N. And then when he got rid i bought them off him and got them sent into the UK. Been a good couple of years now mind, dont even know if the company still exists tbh with you.
Then the bells were a 1off custom from godspeed in the uk and the rotors were godspeeds 355mm megane rs upgrade.
Calipers are just the 4 pots from the megane rs3 with custom decals on

Thank you so much for your valuable information. I’ll reach out to Godspeed and see if they can make a bell for those 355 mm discs. I believe FreakyParts sell the Megane 3 RS calipers and brackets, so between the two I should be able to put the setup together.

Update:
I reached out to Godspeed, but they told me they couldn’t recall ever doing a setup for the i20N. I sent them a follow-up email with a few more questions, but haven’t received a reply yet — fair enough, things happen. In the meantime, I found out that FreakyParts sell the kit with 345 mm discs, but since I specifically wanted a 355 mm 2-piece setup, they confirmed they could build a complete set for me. So I’ve ordered the full kit (calipers, brackets, discs, bells, and pads) directly from FreakyParts, and I’m now waiting for it to be manufactured.

I think they may be just been given the PCD and then specs to make the bells with, so they proba didnt know it was going to end up on a i20N.
Oh thats cool youve found someone to do it, you wont be disappointed, youll have to get some pics up when you have it installed

They look fantastic 👍. I don’t think there will be fitting issues either, assuming all measurements are correct. I’ve got the Megane calipers on mine and the further you move them from the centre of the wheel the better clearance becomes (assuming the caliper clears the rim). I’m looking forward to seeing them fitted.

The kit has finally arrived! I measured the discs to be 360 mm, we'll see if there will be fitment problems but I don't think so. I'll update this post again when I get them fitted but in the meantime enjoy some photos of the beast!
