Hi all, first time poster long time lurker.
I'm currently driving a '98 S14 and am looking to sell that to swap over to an i30n.
I've had it since 2018 and love it, but time, effort, money, theft risk and reliability make it an annoying daily when having no driveway or garage and having to pay rent in Sydney. Just want something with modern tech and safety features that I can own without needing to pay for rego on a second car for when it breaks down or something goes wrong. There's also a bit of fear when it comes to working on it, as they've shot up in price so much compared to when I bought it I'm afraid to brick it or ruin it's value if I mess something up.
After driving my mums regular i30 and taking an N for a test drive yesterday I think I've made up my mind. These things are bloody rippers. Might get a beater miata that I'm not afraid to weld the diff on in a few years if I miss the rwd fun.
Just posting to see what the best prices any of you guys have seen for a a 2021-2025. I'm after the upgraded features of the FL model, but not the digital dash and bluelink tracking of the most recent refresh.
I'd be looking at ideally a premium version (loved the bucket seats) in black, good condition with under 70k on the odo. I was originally only willing to buy the manual version as coming from a S14 I'm partial to modding and increasing power, but since trying the DCT yesterday I'd be happy with either at the right price. I'm not in a rush, so if it takes a few months to get a banger deal I'm happy to wait.
