I’ve got quite a simple active two way system (with an active sub) and, since the UKs heatwave, have found the amp overheating and shutting down. It’s an Audison AP4.9 and very small - it’s also mounted in the spare wheel well. I’ve now raised it up on spacers so it’s not against the carpet and also removed the felted boot floor lining - let’s see if that helps or if I’m going to have to add some fans!

ICE Amp overheating in this blazing British weather

I build a whole ventilation system for my PA2802, which makes her even a lot bigger. Works perfectly. I would rate 2 medium sized vents one that blows, one that sucks to be installed under the liner. Of course you have to saw two holes that and cover these with mesh or you drill many little holes in that area. Then you got always air alternating!
