I decided to try the Stillen TruControl tuner, mainly because it offered the option of simply unplugging it if you need to go in for service, without voiding your warranty. During the install, I unplugged the harness to better route the wires and two of the three plugs broke. The locking tabs snapped clean off. Now, I have been working on cars for almost 40 years, including 20, 30, and 40-year-old cars, and I have never seen a brand new plug snap so easily and with so little pressure. The plug won't stay seated, so it's not safe to use.
I let Stillen know that they had a bad batch or something and asked for a replacement. I was told that I had to purchase a new harness and pay for shipping. I declined and asked to return the whole thing under their 14-day risk-free satisfaction guarantee. They refused this as well and asked for a restock fee since "user error" broke the harness.
So, Stillen quality is horrible, their customer service is slow, and they won't honor their "guarantee". Buyer beware, I would avoid Stillen and use one of the many other reputable options out there.
