First time posting here and first time owning a new i30 Sedan N. I've been absolutely adoring this car for the last couple of months, so happy. Only spot of drama that's tarnishing the whole experience is an annoying engine rattle/air-con issue. The sound doesn't seem overly suspect, but its so annoyingly intermittent, Hyundai techs are struggling to even identify the sound when I take in for inspection.
Before I leave it with them for another attempt (3rd time), I've tried to document the problem as best as I could.
The rattle only seems to appear when the air con is switched on, and mid-heavy acceleration applied. Most common around the 2.5-3k rpm. Turn the air con completely off and the sound is gone. I've attached an audio file of the car accelerating - the rattle i'm talking about kicks in around the 5 second mark.
I'm hoping someone may have dealt with this in the past? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
