Hey!

Anyone here who can tell me how to get my car shipped to the US and back to Europe for a ~1 month roadtrip?

Would be interested in doing this next year or maybe in a few years. What documents would I need to fill out and who'd I need to contact? Also what would the costs be like?

Cheers.

You asked and received............................................................quickly!!!:p I'll look at any restrictions or advantages in the US but it's going to take me a little longer! LMAO!:D

That... was quick. Didn't expect so many answers int that short time!
I know them from SeenThroughGlass. He used them to take his 911 around the world. Shmee used them recently to get his Ford GT to the US and back. They're probably not the cheapest but from what I've seen they take very good care of the cars they transport and also provide you with any and all documentation you might need.

From what I read, shipping (both ways) should be right around 1.2k when i ship to San Diego. I'd also need to do some emissions/safety testing, but since my car is more or less an Elantra GT with most of the Veloster N's internals I doubt that this would be a problem.

Wouldn't be a problem if you came Down Under, the U.S. is overrated anyway :p:D

The documents and requirements can vary by country so it may be specific to where you're going, but most of Europe (I believe) is pretty cooperative with imports/exports from the U.S. I shipped mine to Italy and back in 2018 with this company https://www.a1autotransport.com/ship-car-to-europe/ and I'd definitely recommend them. They had a good handle on all the laws, paperwork, regulations, etc. and were very helpful when it came to navigating all the ins and outs. Not sure if you've looked into it yet, but be aware the the cost is pretty high when shipping overseas.
