Don't think so..Shouldn’t there be a little increase in torque around 4200 rpm due to the overboost?
NAP catback... Yes, it’s aggressive, but a bit sloppy to my ear and the whistling at higher revs is perplexing. For nearly €2K, I’d expect a much tighter, deeper and more refined sound. Hard to do on a four-banger, but it is possible. Will be interesting to hear it with both downpipe (elbow + flex/lower) sections opened up.
1.) This is even more noticeable if you parked your car with an opened valve. Some observations I have made that I wonder if others can confirm or that might explain other people's findings:
1) When I start my car from cold in normal mode the exhaust is considerably louder than once it's warm. I think it starts with the valve 50% open as it quiets down when I pull away + the sound gets louder still if I put it in N.
2) When you lift the clutch without touching the throttle some sort of anti-stall kicks in and the car automatically revs a little. This is accompanied by a noticeable change in volume although I don't know the reason (maybe to alert the driver that the car is close to stalling).
3) When I get out with the key in my pocket the exhaust valve opens. I'm guessing this is an intentional warning sound.
4) When you're moving, changing driving modes from normal to N immediately affects the exhaust however, I've noticed that at idle when the engine is cold (as if you're demonstrating the exhaust just after starting up) changing from N back to normal the valve doesn't immediately close.
Oh no... Really..? You with your car in a quiet street?I know what you feel - now you can imagine how does it sound with non-resonated turbo back exhaust![]()
I have an idea why ...After first morning I bought 3 expensive bottles and visit all my closest neighbours![]()
Some kind of straightpipeYes - it is how it was. Now I have even larger diameter downpipe (catless), larger diameter flex pipe + the rest of exhaust including custom built rear box.
