Please don’t go down the VAG tuning route of more pops and bangs are better! We don’t need to be tarred with that brush! Had an S1 do that next to me the other day and it sounded horrendous!
Definitely not. Just a proof of concept. I prefer a mild burble on decel.

The overall point I was trying to make is E85 is roughly 110 RON and since higher octane means more resistance to detonation, you just need to get the exhaust a bit hotter to induce stronger crackles, so...

To date I've always used 98 RON fuel (2750km) and it seems to pop/crackle/bang as I expect it to. Might be worth giving it a shot in 95 RON to see if there's any difference.
Sitting @ 7000kms right now and I more often than not get 4-5+ pops. Always fuel up with 98 super unleaded and have a resonator delete. This video is before the TMC tunebox install and I think the cars become a lot louder with more Km's since.

Yes Tesco momentum or Costco premium, plenty of bangs if You wish them. Still on 1/4 tank left im debating trying esso 95 or just a refill of 99 and hoping it was a funny batch
@J BOB I use momentum usually and it’s always been good. Argh snow, we had snow!! With you on the tyres, looking forward to ditching them!!

I've been running 95 Ron from Tesco in my 250N and the pops usually come on the up shift at 5k rpm in N custom but not so much during these colder months.
Sooo, burned through two tanks of 98 and hardly any difference in sound. Bit less of a bark on 2nd to 3rd upshift if anything. Loving this car.
So were are 1/4 of a tank into 99 again, same station diff pump, cracks are back at 5k + so was there are diff in sound....yep 100% was it the fuel....more then likely
