How often should they update them?

I am not sure what the process is in the northern hemisphere but here in AUS a new update is available every 12 months. If you have the car serviced at a Hyundai Service Department they update the software for free.

Seems reasonable only 6 months from the last

Tomtom updates maps quarterly. I thought the map set would be updated more frequently than annually. If you get your update at the worst time the maps could be almost 2 years old by the time they're renewed again..

Tbf I never really use sat navs I like to read a map and know where I’m before I set off, can’t help myself.

I think I may have the only Micron Grey in our state. Just love it. The Performance Blue is really good too however they are the most popular colour and so more of those about. They look really great in person IMO. Photos don't usually do them justice.
