ICE Remote Windows

Hmm.. You could tap into the cables that tell the windows to close or open, and feed that to the sunroof switch!

#hacked
Unfortunately for me, I'd have no idea where to begin with that. Installing LEDs and dashcam is about the limit of my capabilities...

It was mostly a joke, as my capabilities also are limited, although theoretically doable with the appropriate wiring diagrams and some multimeter, soldering, etc. Just too much of a hassle, and not the appropriate way to do it.

My capabilities are so limited, I didn't even realize you were joking :D

By the way, this forum is fantastic, I'm learning so much about the car, what mods can be done and how to look after her. Really glad to have all the experts and enthusiasts around sharing their knowledge.

These are the options with original hyundai VCI on the N AT THE MOMENT.

User custom settings.
Ambient light
Automatic door lock
Automatic door unlock
Option rear window wiper
Remote open windows
Remote close windows

Data is for a N first edition without comfortable package. I'll see and update which options are given for mine. Also it's what's available at the moment. Maybe it will take a while to get more options. Most of tuners and software writers haven't "known" hyundai before the N - > no coding possibilities atm. So it's possible that there are more options or custom software (not hyundai Gds) in a few months..

It's done. No more options for comfort / luxury package. But as you can see, it works now. Done in 2 minutes. And to the other topic, you need at least one key for that. (OBD security)

Read part of the manual the other day.

States do not operate more than two windows at once!

Helps prolong the life of the fuse and protect the electrics.

Not my opinion it’s from the manual, Bollocks ? o_O

What a bunch of donkey poo!

Sounds like a problem with the design of how the windows are allowed to operate.
Asking us not to operate more than two windows at the same time suggests all the windows are powered from the same fuse and it could blow. There could be many reasons why they don’t just fit a fuse with an higher rating, I’ve not looked at a schematic for the N yet but there must be a good reason not to change the fuse.
The note about not operating the window switches at the same time in different directions seems odd, obviously being able to operate the same window motor up and down at the same time is going to cause damage but this could be easily fixed with a couple of relays.

Oh the drama.. :p:p:p

The windows will be fine.
Mechanically every window has its own motor, so you're not stressing anything.

Electrically..

..there is nothing to worry about. If there was a problem, they wouldn't do it. And if there will be a problem, they'll fix it.
