Yes, 95% of people will use them all year round.
The stock tyres however will not be ideal for cold climates!
Since my car should arrive in January, i'm thinking about 17" winter rims and possibly using my new-ish Nokian Seasonproof 235/45R17 winter tires.
As I've read, couple of members here have been using 17 inch rims - so how was the outcome? Any issues whatsoever?
I guess the tricky part is gonna be figuring out the best ET for 235 tires.
I found this link, where 235/40R18 are used, which gives a wheel diameter of 645 (vs 629 stock and 643 with 235/45R17)
According to www.wheel-size.com, possible scrub radius issues start at ET47 and below.

Et40 fit, but they stick out about 5mm and will need some camber to tuck them under the arch.
Et45 is flush with the arches.
Et48 will look nice and will ensure you wont get any rubbing if you ever look to lower it.
There is zero reason to stagger the widths.
Keep them all the same size, either option will fit the car fine without rubbing

I can see a reason because rims i want to purchase (OZ RACING HYPER GT HLT SG) are only offered in these sizes:
18x7,5 ET 40
18x7,5 ET 48
18x8 ET35
18x8 ET 45

When I was looking for new rims, I wanted them to be flush and not poke out.. also taking into account of the bigger tire and rims spokes (for my rims, the spoke come out of the flange by 4mm).
Id go 7.5 et40 all round
Or 8 et 45 all round
I have 18x8et40 on the front and lowered and i have zero rubbing issues
How are the regulation with wheels & tyres poking out from the bodywork in your location?
Where I'm from, they must be contain within the bodywork, but it hasn't stop a lot of people from doing it.
Go with either 18x7.5 ET48 or 18x8 ET45 all round if you also have restriction.
The OEM tires (Pirelli P Zero) don't last long, so change them out if you have the budget for it.
You can transfer the TPMS from the OEM wheels, a lot cheaper then buying new ones.
