I aim to go for 225/45/17 actually and then see if there is any difference in driving experience and suspension feel on track compared to stock size. I was about to go for 18" for track use but got these in fairly good price and thought of using them on track and as winter setup. If they do not do the trick I will have to go back to stock size I guess.

Since winter is coming I am looking at new wheels.
Currently looking at Tomason TN1 8x18 ET45 with Hankook I*cept EVO 3 in either 215 or 225 (215 will be cheaper for me)
Will this setup fit without poking out(illegal in denmark)? As someone with 0 knowledge I have gotten a bit confused trying to figure it out through this thread.

For the technically inclined people, i have a difficult but very important question,
if i use 17 wheels, which i know they fit properly, but wont use tpms sensors, what will happen apart from the warning tpms light?
Does anyone know? I know that bmws, dont let you use the sport mode, if a tpms warning light is on!! Do you think i will be able to put Nmode without a problem?
Last but not least, do you know where i can find working tpms sensors for i20n, without spending an arm and a leg? Has anyone try another brand besides original ones and knows that tmps system works properly?

Warning lights are on but nothing else happens - you can still drive in N mode, turn off traction control etc. These lights are pretty annoying, but I had 17" only for short track trips so it was fine. As for tpms sensors. hope someone who has bought them will say a bit more about price and availability

I am waiting for my i20N. I think it's going to be too much what I want to put on it, but I still ask, how would a 235/45-17 et38 fit? They are Lancer Evo rims.
I read something before about Hyundai not recommending more than 5mm for the scrubbing radius, can someone explain this to me?

If the 17" rims clear the brakes, then it's like having stock rims with 20 mm spacers.
Considering the fact that you can fit 30 mm Eibach spacers with no problems (stock rims, springs, suspension), it looks like it'll fit, but better ask your local shop to be sure before you spend cash.
