i30 N Felix' Snow White - N400 (342kW/581Nm)

As I mentioned here in the thread quite a while ago, I had an upgrade clutch with single mass flywheel installed for about 20000 km. When I did the conversion back then, there was actually no alternative to this clutch if you wanted to drive over 500 Nm of torque. Unfortunately, there was no experience whatsoever in this regard, so that only over time did more and more reports accumulate that the single-mass flywheel damaged many gears (especially the synchroniser rings of the second gear).
In December, it hit me too. But instead of repairing my "old" gearbox, after a short research I decided to exchange the complete gearbox for a young used one. Fortunately/unfortunately (depending on how you look at it), there is now a large spare parts market in Germany.
So I got myself a manual gearbox from a facelift model (MY2021) with a warranty and a mileage of just 10,000 km and combined it with a new Stage 2 clutch from MTT including Kevlar linings in conjunction with the original dual-mass flywheel.

Just a small update:
First track day of the new season is already booked (08.04. on the Bilster Berg) and we did some last preparations:
Eibach Anti-roll kit (front and rear axle, triple-adjustable), new brake discs and pads for the rear and the 60k km service.

Over the last week we made a trip with @Bu11eT to the famous Nürburgring. We went for a spin with the N-Taxi which was great fun! The driver did a really great (and scary) job. When you guys have the chance to go there the N-Taxi is an absolut must imho.
Since the tourist trips within the week always take place only in the evening, we had enough time during the day for other activities. I had previously booked an appointment with Nexd-Racing for the installation of a CAE short shifter. On the way back, I detoured to MTTuning to have my TTE490 turbocharger installed and tuned.
Long story short, some pictures:

One major upgrade:
Now from turbo to tailpipes finest handwork by Motorkrep.
Keyfacts:
* everything in stainless steel
* from turbo to underfloor cat in 3,5"
* underfloor catalytic converter with 150 mm metal catalytic converter
* from there to the tailpipes in 3"
* additional silencer
* tailpipes in 102 mm, beveled

How it sounds (ignore the stupid Image stabilization)

The world's first Audi-RS Big Brake Kit on an N :D

Yesterday I was finally able to have the long-awaited brake upgrade installed. I had contacted a supplier quite some time ago who otherwise deals almost exclusively with Volkswagen brakes, but who also wanted to offer kits for the N. We tested various combinations of calipers, disc and rim sizes.
Even 380 mm discs and 6-piston calipers from the current Audi RS4 B9 have fitted (18" wheels):

The kit I took home with me
8-piston calipers (Brembo) from Audi RS4 B7, 365 mm two-piece brake disc (Brembo as well)

Final look

Btw.: All kits can be registered by the German TÜV without any problems.

this looks amazing and i bet its a really nice kit too. was there any serious modifications that were needed for it all to fit as the bolt pattern on the N is different to Volkswagon to start with?

This is absolutely not plug and play for the brake supplier, but it is for me as the end customer ;).
Bolt pattern on the discs needs to be changed to start with. But since the brake discs are two-piece, you only have to change the friction rings in the future and you don't need any further adjustments for that.
Pads are plug and play, you just need to look for RS4 ones (and there are loads of alternative pads compared to the ones for the N). Brake caliper adapters are also needed. But you can get the whole kit ready for installation with all needed and/or adapted parts.
