That i30N in Dark Knight looks lovely! My KonaN is in the same colour. Good call on the PPF; on the whole body though? Wow, that's impressive! I just had my KonaN's front quarter done by Xpel and the rest Ceramic Coated. Enjoy your beautiful vehicle and best regards from Scotland!

The answer is quite simple... there is a price difference between foil wrap and PPF. The price is also determined by the lifetime, thickness and material of the foils. PPFs are roughly 155 - 200 microns. They also have self-healing and hydrophobic properties. The price list may vary by country or company.

Last year one of you wrote me a request for Shell oil analysis. An oil analysis was performed on the new car at 1000km and then after another 1500km. During the first test, I could not determine the exact viscosity of the oil, probably the factory does not put classic oil in new cars with a viscosity of 0W30, but lower. Analysis of its composition rather points to break-in oil. Note the very high Molybdenum (MO) number. The fuel content in the oil was around 1% in both tests, we will carry out another oil analysis after 2500 km.

A cabin filter and missing LED bulbs were installed in the vehicle.

When I read the @Bu11eT project, he wrote about higher coolant temperatures. I will be testing Alpine Antifreeze from Millers oils in the future. Also an additive to Extra Cool coolant. According to the manufacturer, it reduces the operating temperature of the cooling medium by up to 15°C.

In the pre-facelift version of the i30N, it was not possible to determine a more accurate numerical value for the oil temperature. The facelift version makes it possible to display oil and coolant values on the vehicle's infotainment system. The manufacturer states that the oil temperature sensor is located in the middle of the engine block. I wanted to find out by how many degrees the temperature of the oil, flowing from the engine to the factory radiator and filter, is cooled. An Interceptor and temperature sensor were used from AeroForce. An adapter for the oil filter was used from PROSPORT. Ravenol RUP 5W40 oil was used in the test.

We had a more detailed test of Ravenol RUP 5W40 oil last year. I wanted to reduce the stock of oils and make room for other brands. This test was used to determine the fuel content in the oil after 2500 km.

Hello mate. are you still running the CAT & GPF in your car? If so you can't just use any oil you want.
I believe ACEA C2 & C3 are required for our vehicles...

Hi, thanks for the heads up. All the oils I test and use always meet ACEA. Ravenol RUP meets ACEA C3. RED LINE Euro series oils meet ACEA C2/C3.

Ok, better safe than sorry :)
This is my oil at the moment. I've chose it because it's HTHS value of 3.9 which in theorie means a higher protection grade.

I thought that the facelift model would have solved the problem of mixing fuel with oil, but I was naive. But I am aware that my driving profile is not suitable for this direct injection engine. Proof of this is the oil test after 2500 km. The fuel content in the oil is 6.8%. In the end, I decided to leave the next oil change intervals after 2500km.

The manufacturer RED Line states the standard Acea C2/C3, but my tests show a very high sulfate ash content. In the summer I will test Red Line Euro Series 5W40, but I assume that the ash content will be the same.

Next time you can look forward to a more detailed test of AMSOIL oils.

Performance measurement for a vehicle without modifications. Current mileage 10000 KM. Ambient temperature 20°C. Suction temperature 30°C. Air pressure 990 hPa. Lower air temperature and air pressure brought higher performance by 2.3% according to DIN 70020. Maximum torque 366.22 Nm at 3752 rpm. Maximum output 279 PS at 6139 rpm.

I think it's a bit of a shame that your facelift is at the factory specification. Almost all the facelifts I've seen so far have been in the 290-300 hp range. If I'm interpreting this correctly, your power also drops at around 4000 rpm. I find that a bit strange. However, I'm not a professional and can only interpret a dynamo test like a layman.

Even before the measurement, the technician said that all the i30N he measured had lower performance than the manufacturer states. I was a little disappointed with the test results, but I wanted to know the values before I start modifying the car.
