Sorry to hear this, but don't beat yourself up. Late mate of mine here with a FL found PGY to be the closest match he could get, and got the recommendation of another dude that kerbed his wheel and sorted it with this:

I was annoyed by my first curb kiss for days too. Nevertheless, my condolences, the feeling is very unpleasant.

Six months later I don't even think about it anymore unless I read a post about it here :cool:

It's a commodity, it's just the rim, it will probably happen again sometime, it's not a serious accident and if you take a closer look at the cars around it's also "kind of" something normal that every driver will experience in life.

I drove 25 kilometers to work and will drive 25 kilometers back - I hope for a free highway :D

Usual early morming inspection for flying fox shit. Found some, quick wash and dry. Dropped kid off at school, cranked stereo and then lane-filtered peak hour traffic into town like I was riding a ZX-10 so I arrived at work with a good mindset.

Finished work and drove to school in a much more sedate fashion. Picked up kid. She wound down her window and demanded I "make it pop!" once we had vacated the school zone. I did. We both smiled.

Got her home and commenced afternoon inspection, cleared away some contaminants. Cracked beer and stared at her in the driveway for a bit. Did some chores, then out for another stare while the sun set to watch the colour change with the light. Wished she was Clean Slate for a bit then put her to bed. And here we are...

Love this post. I am still waiting on mine. That’s 11 months now since It was ordered It is supposedly winging it way to me in a container somewhere at sea. Great post I used to feel the same about my Mini Cooper S Rally Car back in the early 1970s. Yes that’s right I’m 66 now but still “feel the need for speed” 😁

I’ve permanently given up washing any car myself - it still gets washed but not by me.

I hope you dont mind it being covered in swirls! I wouldnt dream of letting anyone else near my car with a grit ridden cloth! :eek:

Hi all, new member here. I'm in Australia and recently picked up an i30 N 6MT hatch in Phantom Black. Have had it for about a month and done 1800km already. I requested an oil and filter change at the 1500km service.

Mods done so far:

"N" metallic side skirt badges
Replacement of rear reversing and indicator bulbs with LED

Planned:

Wireless CarPlay adapter

I'll leave it at that for a while, the car is more than satisfactory as is.

Do you have a link to the wireless CarPlay product?
 
Technically on Saturday:
Polish with a fine cut, finish with hard wax, it was about time.
Nothing for the plastic trim and nothing for the glass roof, so still not really shiny but shiny enough.

On testing the Powerflex purple lower torgue mount bushing: On Pilot Sport Alpin 5 where the wheelphop was not bad but noticeable:
Nothing negative to report, It does not feel different.
Positive: no wheel hop, at all. Launches are not relevant for me, so this could be different to many here.
