Coolant top up i30 N sedan (Elantra N)

One thing that most leave out when checking the coolant system; The radiator and expansion tank caps. Something to remember.👍🇺🇸
You're right...I forgot to say that I also changed the tank cap (Hyundai original)

Yes, this is the desired way to bring the reservoir up to specification. No it won’t cause any issues with the coolant ratio.

Just make sure you check it when it’s cold. Generally, the first chance in the morning before being utilized.👍🇺🇸
Why would it not cause any issue with coolant ratio? When it leaks does it not leak both water and coolant?
Do you know the difference between different coolant? I see his coolant on his elantra is red and my hatchback is green?

I had a pre FL manual and it had green coolant. Now I have a FL dct and it has pink coolant...
I also think that´s strange because I always thought that a different colour meant it was a different type of coolant. The engine hasn´t changed much between the pre and post FL, so why the difference 🤔?

I agree with you it's strange that they have diffrent coolant type between same motor because I also have a FL DCT and mine is green. Is your car a EU bought?
