Price paid for your i30 N?

Hi Emma, I've joined the site today as I'd like an i30 n auto but I'm going to wait and get a pre reg hopefully when they come down a little. I've been talking today via email to a lovely chap at Worcester called James Chapman. He has more than one available. He sent me a video of a lovely grey one but I'm going to wait as I've only just bought a car two weeks ago (bought a 3 month old proceed gt as I'd been offered a really good price for my merc cla45 so I let it go and needed something straight away). Wish I'd waited now

Was it shadow grey with N seats by any chance? That’s meant to be the one I’ve bought (they’ve got one on factory order so it’s ok 😂). Ah that’s such a shame, but hindsight is a wonderful thing! I’ve seen pre-regs for about £32k already, but it’s worth looking around Black Friday…they were selling new N (manual) for £22k in 2019 which was bonkers!

We eventually got through and dealt with Chris and Lee who were ace and we’ve placed an order for an i30N for me and an i20N for @i20nobby

I don't know about the seats but it's a nice grey. Gosh £22k was good wasn't it. I passed my test in the 80's in a manual but started driving autos about 12 years ago and prefer them. I've just seen that they are about £2k more than a manual.
I will keep looking. I've bought and sold a lot of cars recently so I'm trying to be sensible. Only bought the one I have 2 weeks ago.

@Annie it was a crazy deal, and lots of those cars are now worth than more they paid for trade in! If you keep an eye out they’ll definitely have deals if you don’t mind waiting. Worth hanging around in the forum too, people will occasionally share where they’ve got good deals from. It may be a little while yet, as some dealers are now quoting 8 month delivery. Ours are both due in September.

My N is just over 3 years old and I wasn’t expecting to change it (I may have said never again!), but the gearbox is a belter. Never had an auto before, but really impressed with it. Then when I need a manual fix I can jump in the i20N which is really good fun.

Thanks Emma. I think you will have fun with both cars. Yes I only started reading the forum yesterday but I've read the 'how much did you pay' thread from start to finish. I've noticed the prices on the autotrader site are higher than the forum members were paying.
I will keep my eye out. I don't mind waiting. I'd like the price to start with a '2' not a '3' haha
