Hi my name is James and I am from Sydney

Well you’ve joined the wrong forum then James, given this a Hyundai forum dedicated to their N cars and not a Nissan one!

Hyundai I30 is my current car.
Hyundai's are my 2nd fav car brand :D
Any plans on getting into an N at any point,I’ve had a few, great cars, you’re in Oz so no problem getting a new one, cars like that in the uk are practically extinct 😂
Big fan also of the GTR possibly my favourite almost affordable car..

Definitely in the next year or so. Same, GTR is my favorite realistically "affordable" car in the future. My all time favorite is probably the Lamborghini Aventador SV

True, but given the forum has hemorrhaged PCP 'contributors' like rats streaming from a sinking ship, maybe once their finance deals expired and their prior best car in the world ever was 'handed back', one would think welcoming any sort of contributor would be welcome 🤣

Don’t think anyone would think the i20n is the best car in the world ever, more likely it’s the best they can afford on a monthly basis, most don’t have 25k+ just hanging around in the bank and if they did could possibly put that money to better use.

I can't comment on if it's the best car ever, the phrase was used with irony at the almost comical stuff when people were in-fighting and what not when the PCP heros were awaiting deliveries of their apparent second coming. Novelty wears off, and off they go :)
IO can't comment on the £25K+ comment as I don't know people’s personal circumstances.
Either way, I'm on a few forums, and none have haemorrhaged posters, turning a forum into a tumble weed ghost town, like this one.

I'll bite: What's a PCP contributor or hero? (I'm from Earth also - the West side of the Pond.)

Yeah that’s normal people are always very excited about their new car delivery regardless of model or spec, mainly due to how good the i30n was and a small lighter version of that got people salivating.
It’s not a bespoke sports car or anything like that it’s just a small affordable Korean hatchback with a bit of poke, probably why most have run out of things to say about it that haven’t been already been said
yes this forum is pretty quite now but doesn’t detract from the car being a great bargain little toy.

Hmm I'm somewhat doubtful of this. You must not be active in any of the car forums that I've been part of. Most of the oldschool forum communities I've been part of have pretty much all become ghost towns in lieu of Facebook, Reddit, Discord, TikTok, etc.

Aside from technical questions, you won't find a thriving forum community for specific cars nowadays. This forum is actually one of the more active ones I'm part of despite the fact there are multiple facebook groups and subreddits dedicated to the N cars.

Anyway, I interpret most of your posts as highly salty given you mention you had an opportunity to buy an i20N and never did. At least the 'PCP heroes' you keep referring to sezied the opportunity (and probably came out with a massive chunk of positive equity in the process)!

Everyone 'had the opportunity' to by an i20N (or any other car), if they can afford it. I didn't buy one of the last ones in the showroom at the time, but I wouldn't say it keeps me up everynight. Maybe every fith night ;) I've had a go in (two) used ones, only around 2 months ago, and found the car decent enough, but not enough to pay an almost former 'new' price for 1.5 year old, curbed alloy, 15K miler, or (the other one I tried) a 3 year former PCP hero's 'hand back car' (hey, may have been one of the deserters from here ;) ), which had more rattles than a snake. I would say I thought it better than maybe a number of former 'owners' did though, you know, who liked it so much they handed back their once apparent second coming. I probably would have kept it.

But anyway, the flaming of the last few replies were in response to me commenting regarding another poster questioning why a particular poster is on the forum, thinking, well, it might not be the best idea on a forum with tumbleweed bowing through it 🤔
