Point made is; with this hp, this VN ought to be running such 0-60 times. Not that it is, just that it might if everything was working to gather, as it ought too.;)
 
Surely at some point the issue becomes how much traction you have off the line?

There must be a point when power to the front wheels only becomes too much and you just end up wasting it trying to stop the wheels spinning and the car torque steering?:confused:
 
It's part of it! Generally a car set-up for track use, is not the best for straight line performance. There are definately trick to the trade that most owners never think about.

A 13.87 quarter mile was accomplished with nothing but the addition of M & H Slicks. RPM8300 said it and was adamant a stock OEM VN couldn't but it happened, all the same and has many times. Just goes to prove to, when you think you you're on top of the bubble with particular car, up jumps someone to pop the bubble.;):)

There's nothing set in stone but you have to know what your doing and how to use the hp.

Nice but still doubtful. Those German engines are underrated from the factory and ours are overrated from factory. Would love to see it though. They need a new generation of performance 2.0t engines.
 
How about a 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder, Dual port injection ;)

Also, Smartstream G 1.6 Dual Port Injection (DPI) engine.
The 2.5T is what I’m most interested in. It’s only a matter of time before someone cracks the code and we have a bunch of Frankenstein VNs running around with stroker builds :cool:
