Hi, I got a email prompt yesterday to "upgrade" to the new "myHyundai app" In my experience an upgrade with a new name rarely is better and I suspect its to cater for more electric vehicles?

First off, has anyone tried it and experienced better or worse than the current Bluelink app, which I do find useful.
Link https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.hyundai.oneapp.eu&hl=en_GB

Secondly: I saw there is actually a Hyundai N app It seems to be in korean so again is it any use for a road car or just designed for track?
Here the link

I upped in the UK section but iy may get upped to general forum if we have no answers.

Cheers

I tried the myhyundai app yesterday after getting the email. It’s ok but no better than the Bluelink app in fact it seems to give less information and the journey section didn’t update correctly.

You seem to be able to run the two apps so I’ve kept them both on my phone at the moment.

As far as I can see it mostly seems applicable to newer electric models.

I have been using it for a couple of days now.

The home screen now contains the odo mileage which I like, although I have just gone into it and it shows 30 and not 30,***. Yesterday when first going into it, it had defaulted to km, today ok.

The vehicle status which I find useful has been moved from the home screen and buried in the control tab. 😠 I am not sure if there is a way to configure the home screen to add it.

Using the Navigation function has changed a bit, it suggests that a route can be sent to the vehicle, but I understand this may be for the ccNc system only.

I no longer get a pop-up for the store which I had to dismiss when opening Bluelink, this has a separate tab. 🙂

I've not tried the new app - but I have noticed that bluelink has stopped updating my journey distances (last recorded trip 11th November) and the oddometer reading is also not updating anymore - so I guess I had better get the new one installed.

My bluelink is still active? Have you restarted your phone see if that re makes the connection?

Hi all.
Based on the messages here I think I will keep my old app running until it dies.
I have never found it enormously helpful but it is interesting, mainly because I have never had an app for a car before.
Has anyone got any more feedback on the new app?
I just translated the handful of messages on the German forum.
They seem rather unimpressed with the new app.

Both bluelink and the new app stopped talking to my car in terms of updating the trip data & neither have woken up again - so the only thing it does for me is to tell me if I forget to set my alarm.

Given my old car would do that automatically without the need of an app...... Yeah not much use at all.

As far as I can see Hyundai intend to discontinue the Bluelink app and integrate it into the myHyundai app. I’ve currently got both on my phone and both are working - the Bluelink app is still displaying recent travel distances and average speeds. The myHyundai app doesn’t seem to display travel info though I see there is a disclaimer one must tick that enables collection of personal data and I suspect this is related to the travel info and its capture. However, I can’t say I find either app very helpful and I doubt I will renew my membership when the free five year trial expires.

I haven't had any issues with connecting to the car, but trip info takes about two hours to update in myHyundai, whereas in Bluelink it is almost instantaneous.

Probably the feature I use most is Send to car, I haven't had any issues with this.

The odo function is now working reliably, after early gremlins.

Thanks to everyone for your interesting responses.

What do you use Send To Car for?
I have never heard of it.
Thanks

I read in the notes that the new app would replace Bluelink but then it does seem to be more orientated to the EV models of course.

Don't understand why everything has to have multiple frequent updates or "improved versions" (they rarely are!). I counted the other day 15 different updates for varying Google apps on my phone - almost all of which you cannot uninstall although some you can disable - they still seem to get updated though. Next day, there was more again!

I am a firm believer in both the KISS and the "if it ain't broke, don't fix" theories!

I remember the original app for my Kona N would let you set the parameters for the N selector paddles etc. For a long time now it tells me I have the same level of fuel in my tank and 162 miles range. Only if you have used the car in the last week or so other wise it refuses to connect. Onward progress? It can't even inform you of your tyre pressures and whether you have left a window open - both of which were covered on my 2 MB models! They think that plotting a route to the nearest charger and selling you other subscriptions/updates is more important - might be for them, probably not for the customers!

Been using it a while and seems fine, once you get used to the changes. :)
I must admit I have not tried it very much so perhaps I had better investigate more before they dump Bluelink.

At least now I have got around to flashing the Sept 2025 update to the car the odometer and range readings now seem accurate. I took nearly as long before I updated as Hyundai did to release it!

I’ve got both apps on my phone and both seem to work fine. However, I notice that when I get alerts it is always from Bluelink.

So have I - only looked at the new one briefly as it seems to have a lot of crap for EV etc. so I am sticking to Bluelink til they switch it off!
